Ingredients

    Soak Together for 1 Hr.                                        
    1 cup rolled oats                                              
    1 cup buttermilk                                               
    Mix thoroughly                                                 
    1/3 cup butter softened                                        
    1/2 cup brown sugar                                            
    1 egg                                                          
    Sift together                                                  
    1 cup flour                                                    
    1 teaspoon baking powder                                       
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda                                       
    1 teaspoon salt            

Directions

Stir into shortening mixture alternately with rolled oats and buttermilk. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake until golden brown at 400°. Bake 20 min.
