Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

    2 cups sugar                                                   
    2 cups flour                                                   
    1/2 teaspoon salt                                              
    2 sticks butter                                                
    1 cup water                                                    
    4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa                                
    2 eggs                                                         
    1/2 cup milk                                                   
    1 teaspoon baking soda                                         
    1 tablespoon cider vinegar                                     
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract                                     
    TOPPING                                                        
    4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa                                
    1 stick butter                                                 
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract                                     
    1 pound powdered sugar                                         
    2 teaspoons milk            

Directions

Mix sugar, flour and salt together . . .set aside. Bring butter, water and cocoa to a boil remove from heat and add to sugar/flour mixture.  Beat eggs, milk, baking soda, vinegar and vanilla together add to above mixture.  Pour into ungreased cookie sheet.

Make topping while cake is in the last 10 min. of baking. Bring butter, cocoa and milk to boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix well and spread on hot cake.
Sprinkle cake with nuts if desired.
Bake at 350 for 20 min.
